Oil weight differences

I was looking at Royal Purple oil for street and strip applications and it is supposed to be equivalent to 10w40. Is 10w40 best for like a 383? How does Mobil 1 compare to Royal Purple? And does Mobil 1 come in 10w40? All I saw at WalMart was 10w30. Thanks.

mobil 1 is fine. 10-40 is hard to come by because most people buy it, I guess. Damn shelf stockers!

I recc 10-40 mobil-1 for hot daily driver and 5-30 Mobil-1 for cold Winters ONLY. Also, Fram HP4 Filter. 15 micron.
