OK, I took the whole steering wheel apart and tightned down the nuts to get the play out of the steering wheel. The steering wheel is tight... however, there is still play in the column. What else needs attention? I want it TiGHT!!!

90 IROC, LT1, 5 speed, convertable

Thanks...

Did you check the bearings??

Is the play up and down or left to right?

Well, The play in my steering wheel is L to R. The column does not move. It's solid. But it takes a little bit of a turn in the wheel before there is any TURN in the tires. When in the turn it's tight. ???????????
