Bent pushrods STILL

I have posted 2 other questions on this page and hope that I'am not getting on anyones nerves. My new question is would to much seat presure cause pushrods to bend as well as break? the guy at the machine shop set my springs up with 130 seat preasure and the Comp spings that I had at first were suppost to be(these were 981 Comp springs) 105@ 1.700-- @95@1.250 and coil bind at 1.150. The machine shop guy said that the other new springs wre no good so he set me up with these, they also have shims under them. I realy need to figure this out and any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!! Thanks NORT Oh yes the cam is the 268 extreme Comp cam.

NORT, just a thought. Keep in mind that I've never swapped cams before; so this is just a possibility. Are the lifters hydraulic-flat tappet or rollers? I believe that they each have to be lubricated differently when installing. Are you putting too much oil into the lifter, so that the plunger is so pumped up that it is causing the breakage. I remember hearing this somewhere.

Have you ever checked to see if the retainer is hitting the top of the valve guide???
