Dual Snorkel Intakes....
Hey guys,
I currently have an open element air cleaner on my 305 TBI equipped 91 RS. I want to ditch the open element for a dual snorkel intake like on the carbed 305HO's. However, they are rare & expensive. Will just about any dual snorkel intake for a carb fit my camaro? Does anyone have one they want to get rid of?

That will get you the air cleaner, a little cut and weld should do the rest.

I have one that I sandblasted and repainted. It looks pretty good. I don't have the ducting or the scoops. I'm willing to sell it because it won't fit under my hood. I have a tall Victor Jr. intake with a spacer and NOS plate.

Buy two stock aircleaner assembleys from the wrecking yard, cut out the inlet tube from one with a dremel. Cut a suitable opening in the other aircleaner base and graft the other tube on with JB weld and small screws. Wah Lah instant dual snorkle complete with thermacs.:-)
You can poke around other GM wrecks to find a good plastic snorkle for the passenger's side. I got mine from a late 80's Caddy and dremeled it down to fit.

That's not a bad price. Dave's website (WWW.THIRDGENUSA.COM), notes that he's out of stock of the complete set up, although the price is listed as $250.00. Dave has just the air cleaner housing for $100. However, Dave does a good job of refurbishing his parts.
I'm hesitant about buying off of e-bay. I've bought parts from Dave (including a dual snorkle and a composite hood) and I haven't had a problem.

I have never seen anyone here review thier kits, though I haven't searched, but ramairbox.com makes some good looking stuff -- they even have a custom kit for our 82-92 F-bodiess. 14x3 with the dual snorkels. Just as expensive as original though. Kit and shipping from CA would run about 250.00
