Rear Axle Identification Help

I have a rear end with the following code stamped upon it. 5PH C194 2. I understand that the C194 is saginaw with a build date of 194 shift 2. However, I can not find any reference to the 5PH.

Supposely this rear axle is a positraction but the gear ratio is unknown. The rear end supposely cam out of an 1983 Trans Am Motor Sport edition but I cant find any reference to this axle code. It has disc brakes if thats any help

Any help would be great.

Take off the cover and look.

Whatever you see in there, that's what it is.

The "codes" only tell you what the factory put there; not what's there now.
