Need help.......

By accident i jacked up my car where the torque converter is. there is a plastic cover that got bent a little. when i started the car it a clanking sound. i bent the cover back to normal and the sound went away. now when i mash the pedal and the car downshifts, i feel a big clunk through the center console. any help???

Remove teh inspection cover again and start looking more closely at the flexplate. You might have bent or distorted it. Jacking the car on the flex plate/torque coverter can't be a good thing...

You quite possibly destroyed your tranny mount, and that's why you're feeling/hearing the clunking sound. Does it also do it while accelerating from a stop?

Whenever you jack up a Thirdgen by the tranny, chances are you're going to destroy the tranny mount.

Like Vader said, definately not a good thing to jack your car up via the TC or any other portion of the engine/driveline for that matter. You're asking for damaged seals and bearings in both the engine and tranny.
