bad ground in the inj circuit. i had the same prob for two years before i finally found it. i would drive to the store and the car would not start again till it was cold. the ground was close to the firewall under the hood. it was a red wire disconnected. good luck

inj ground

is that ground coming from the computer or the fuse block? or is it coming right off the injectors? i put a 86 tpi setup into my 79 malibu and i hacked up the wiring harness for all i needed ( so i thought ) ! any help would be appreciated

I believe it is the ground coming from the computer. it is on the passanger side up along the firewall coming off the main wiring harness along with the injector wires. if need be, i can take a pic and post it for you tomorrow if that will help. just let me know, i would be glad to help.
