Milled Vortec Heads?
I thought I read somewhere that L31 vortec heads needed to be taken down to work well on an L03 (305 TBI). Does any one know how far?
Also what cam and headers would you all recomend to get 300 HP.

Axle/Gears: 3.45/3.42 (soon 4.10)
LT1 cam, edelbrock TES (or SLP if you can afford it, 1 5/8" for a 305) headers.
I read somewhere that most L31 Vortec heads actually cc at around 61cc's, not 64. Maybe a small shot of juice if down your alley...
Wait a minute. The LT1 cam is roller only. Do you have an '87+ roller block?

My car is a 91 so i guess its an 87+.
The way I drive; juice isn't an option.
The mill job shouldnt cost much, (friend of a friend deal.)
