MSD Ignition - Distributor/Alternator

Im looking to upgrade my ignition and aleternator, nothing fancy, just a direct replacement.
Is this Distributer a direct replacement:
MSD Pro-Billet Chevrolet PN 8365
NOTE: The PN 8365 is designed to replace GM HEI Distributors that use a 4-Pin ignition module.
(How do i know if i use a 4-Pin ignition moduel, i have an 84 L69 Quadrajet carbbed z28)
Also what plugs would you use, and would Accel 8mm hi-temp wires work ok, or would u stick with an msd wire?

Also what type of alternator is a direct replacement? Plugin or one wire? Also is putting in the MSD 160 amp (PN 5111) goinhg to be ok? How many amps does a factory alt. run?
