probably a bad idea..
not so recently my tire developed a bulge from braking at a very high speed. it's pretty small but very obvious while driving. i'm also getting another tire (both are new) within the next month. my QUESTION is Can i take a rotary tool and kind of sand down the bulge so it's flush with the rest of the tire??? i'm not too anxious to do this, but i thought it wouldnt be a bad idea because im getting a new tire soon anyway. bad idea??

Braking at high speeds doesn't produce a bulge, it makes a flat spot, from where the tread material gets ground off.
Bulges are caused by belt separation.
What you are suggesting would take an already damaged tire and create a true maypop. I would not want to be on the same roads with a car that someone had done that to.

a month is too long man. i had that happen to me about a year ago and i just went to a discount tire and paid $20 for a used tire to get me along.
