Okay, new fan motors, now what?!?!?
I plopped them in and one works great! I switched the plug over to the other one and it works great! Both won't run at the same time w/ AC on like they did before so here's the question ...
Which fan (dual fan) is the "radiator" fan and which fan is the "condensor" fan? I was always under the assumption that the passenger side fan was the "condensor" fan as it would kick on 3 seconds after turning on the AC.
Are both fans supposed to run w/ AC? I would think so as the more air moving across the condensor would ease the high side pressure. As it stands, I'm running 210 high, 32 low at idle and about 230 high, 25 low at approx. 1500 RPM .. . after about 10 minutes of idle. Not bad, but I think the high side is a tad higher than my liking. Don't feel like blowing a compressor in the middle of summer.
Ah, anyway, I thought this would be an easy swap, but I'm not getting voltage to the fan plug so I'll continue tomorrow and try to figure out what in the hell is wrong now.

Allan - if you have your A/C off, and let your car run normal and warm up or drive it to warm it up, does one fan come on like it's supposed to, like around 239* or so, unless you've replaced the fan switch? If so, then apparently that one is working right. And if you turn your A/C on and the other fan comes on, then apparently that one is working right, too. The only time they're supposed to both operate at the same time is if you've got a hot motor. If you turn on A/C, that one fan is going to come on regardless of the engine temp. One fan is controlled by the switch in the head, the other is controlled by the switch in the A/C system...
