ok here is the problem again.. when i am driving down the road the tack in my 90 305 TBI will jump causing my engine to jump or vise versa i am not sure.. any way it will go as far as to stall sometimes.
I have replaced the coil picup... checked the timing ... and i am not sure where to go from now...
the thing that really pisses me off is it will not do it for hours then it will **** on me for about 10-20 min then be fine the rest of the day .. others it will do it all day... i love my car and am in need of some help .. i DONT WANT TO SELL IT!
any help is appriciated
thanks

RS,
The jumping tach may be an indication of an ignition system problem or just a reflection of the engine stumbling due to a fuel problem.
Check the fuel filter, oxygen sensor connections, and scan for error codes.
Inspect the wiring around the distributor, coil, and EST module (if you have one). Check the ignition secondary wiring, and don't forget the coil wire.
Check the vacuum hoses, and especially the one to the MAP sensor.
