security /key

my key has a chip and i need to know how to reset the security system and if their is a way to bypassit

There is no way to reset the security system as you put it. What malfunction are you experiencing?

Transmission: TH700-R4

if a key with the wrong chip is inserted into the ignition, the comp will shut down for 20 mins. you must wait 20 mins before even trying to restart the car with the correct key.

No, the computer will not shut down for 20 minutes. The VATS control module has a built in reset timer of approximately five minutes. The only way it will kill the computer for 20 minutes or more is if you sit there and continue to attempt to start the car after the first failure.
