car idles crappy ????need advice ???????

at idles it runs very rough and feels like its about to stall.its a 85 TA TPI i have a feeling its the fuel filter because the guy had thrown a new one in and the other syptoms so i looked in my haynes book on how to deprresurize the fuel rail and it said pull the fuel pump fuse and run it till it dies so i went to look for it and there was no fuse where it was supposed to be,there is a car alarm on it and maybe they put some kill switch on it because there is no way it would run without that fuse right? so how else could i depressurize the lines???????/

I don't think it would be the fuel filter if it runs fine at high rpm's.

Check the IAC and TPS, they cause rough idles.

Check what Enkil says as well as the MAF and relays.

First thing is to pull the codes and see if you have trouble codes popping up.

There is a valve on the fuel rails that looks like a tire valve or air conditioner compressor valve. This is the valve that will release fuel pressure.
