MH-18 artical

did anyone read the latest artical in MH-18 on cars. They are so for ricers and prices they list on hop-ups is kind of off. I think everyone should write a letter to them at MH-18.com defending our cars. Be polite about it b/c they were polite about ours. Here is the first para....

Old School rods in your Dad's day were made out of V-8 powered Detroit iron because those were the used-car bargain back then. But today's used lots are flooded with small Japanese imports, making these cars the easiest, cheapest starts for self-taught mechanics.

I think that is a load of crap, also they state that a paintjob is "$100+" maybe they left of a zero? They talk about chips/computers, sparkplugs, cam, turbo/super chrgers, wheels, HUGE TACHS (LOL), RACING SEATS i mean all out racing seats, the kind you use with 5 point harneses. anyway, i think we sould write letters stating that fro the amount of money you put in to a Sport Compact you can get well over 325hp from a 1980s Camaro or Mustang.

Im Sorry, But any Webpage that asks me "Wich are my Favorite jeans" Loses instant credibility.

Mens Health Is a Man's version Of Cosmo, Lame.

I personally Am not Entirely concerned with What they, Or anyone Else Thinks about My Car or "sport compacts" Or anything else. Im In it For me.

Actually, Men's Health (not MH-18) is not a man's Cosmo. Ever read one? It's a great mag; maybe not so much for cars, but great for fitness, workouts, nutrition, and style. It's much better than Men's Fitness or any of those other "man" magazines out there... and it'll probably keep me alive & stronger longer.

Men's Health-18 is for the high school generation.. I never looked at it, I'm subscribed to the "normal" Men's Health mag. Their website's at: http://www.menshealth.com

[edit] In defense of them in general, I'm sure that since MH-18 is writing for the teenagers, they're writing for the teenage fads. Think about it; how many teens are into imports as opposed to domestics? Not a whole lot.

You may Be right, Tom, Im just a little cynical when it comes to The general populous.

The only Person Who I have known to read "mens health" was My Ex GF's Father, a Middle aged, Golf Playing, Wife Cheating, Rich, Snob Heart attack waiting to happen.

Sort of Put a Sour Tase In My mouth, perhaps.

NONTECH!

EDIT: Of course they are Tom, Just like the F&F post before, They have to suscribe to their audience to Make Money.

Wich Is why I don't get all Hot and Botherd When they stretch the truth, or Strait don't know what they are talking about, Because The people Who belive it are the ones who Get proven dumbasses Later, weather On the track or the street.

I read HOTROD, sometimes ( where is my July issue dammit ? ) And I find it **mostly** fairly accurate and Informative, and Occasionally I see Them Make a Ballsy Move wich Highlights ACtualy performance Over Marketshare ( Nissan Skyline In "Roddin", For Example )

That I appriciate, but You cannot expect To find it everywhere.

The real performance Oriented drivers and Builders know Whats What, and The Import guy's who know what they are doing will be the first to tell You the Disadvantage they have to startoff with, And the Domestic guys Who Know their stuff will be the first to tell You That Imports CAN be Fast.

Nothing is Black and white, And wheather you Get smoked by That TT Supra, or that 427 LS1, Just respect it for what it Is, Fast.
