G-Tech Results!!Why So Bad???
I ran the car twice, it's kind of hard to find places around here free of cops, but here are the results.
1st run= 16.56 1/4 @ 86.7 mph
2nd run= 15.87 1/4 @ 92.9 mph
I figured I would be in the mid 14's, there were 2 things I can think of that hurt me
1st run spun tires thru 1st gear
2nd run had windows down
and on both runs had a friend in the car(170lbs)
But I figured on the 2nd run without spinning tires I would do better. Any ideas as to why I am running high 15's.
Also another note, I manually shift and from 1-2 it shifts but kind of lags a little, but the 2-3 shifts great, the tranny was just rebuilt, it only appears to lag in 1-2 at high rpm.

im guessing you only have ~300 hp because the GM GW 350 is only rated at 250 i believe...
anyway with the 2.73's I think a low 15 is what you would run at the track...maybe a 14.9 or so.
thats just my thought....that and get rid of that passenger....because 100lbs=10hp=.1 sec

I have a G-Tech too, and although it hurts you to run with friends in the car, it is so tempting.
I'll tell you exactly why you ran bad times.
You had the windows down, you probably did not get an ideal launch on the street pavement, you had a friend in the car (170lb) and you have 2.73 gears. All of those contribute to 15 second times.

adjustable fuel pressure regulator
K&N Air Filters
Excalibur alarm, keyless entry and remote start
new:
struts, shocks, bearings, distributor, cap, rotor, alternator, battery, regulator
245 ZR16 50 Tires, Rotors and brake pads all the way around

You can also see pictures, and hear sounds as well.

Hey Mark,
Your right about having windows down, increases drag.
Zerogauge is right about the weight issue and I'm sure different gears will help also.
As for the 1-2 shift, do you have a Corvette servo piston? That will usually tighten up the 1-2 very nicely.

I used to live out in Freddy's town several years ago. There's a pretty decent straightaway at the back gate of Ft Detrick. Besides, don't they have a dragstrip down the road in Hagerstown?
