I had my remote starter installed, and everything works GREAT. BUT, when I try to manualy start my car....I get a VATS Security Blanket thrown at me and can't even remote start it for 10 minutes. I had a very professional certified place install it. Anyone have any ideas?

 

They should have used a relay with a resistor inline. Solution? You paid for an alarm and a professional install. Take it back to the shop and insist they fix it.

We always had to use a box to bypass vats. You have to take an old key and cut it off in it. It needs the magnet in the key to disable the vats. PLAIN AND SIMPLE they installed it wrong.
