im going to start my project but...
OK here goes.....i have had my firebird for a few years now....its really nothin to write home to mom about , so this is the problem , i need to know from you guys out there where to start and some ideas of what i should do. Im talking front to back and iside and out. i have the tranny out of it now , so ill need one of those. I dont know where to start , i have started and stopped on like 5 different things already , and at this point in time money is an issue. anything you guys can tell me will be helpful , so this is what we need here , we need to redo the inside...just about all of it , we need to juice up my 305 a little , outside i can do myself. thanks.

Welcome to thirdgen.org!
I'd start with short term, mid-term and long term goals...begin writing down and researching what it will take...both parts, time and money.
i/e short term may be get the tranny in and drive it.

Read! There is a lot of info on here about shift kits...
I agree with 8mike9, get it back on the road first. It is a lot easier to figure out problems when you can drive the car. My '87 sat for 2 years before I got it, and there was no engine or trans in it. I've got it back on the road now and running well, so now I can start on everything else.
