Is there a better way to stop this oil leak?

The drip comes out of the drain plug. The oil pan was punched in at some point in it's life. I've been using RTV to seal the bolt on to stop the leak. I've tryed using the GM drain plug gasket with the little rubber peice and other numerous gaskets but it still drips. Just slower. The only way I can see of getting rid of the drip is to replace the pan.

Hard to say without seeing why it is leaking. If it is leaking because of a bend/seam in the sealing surface, maybe you can fill it in w/ epoxy putty or something. Otherwise, try to describe it a little better cuz i don't really get it.

You can get these piggyback plugs.. Normally I absolutely hate them but in your instance it might help. It's really a plug inside a plug.. The bigger plug is slightly larger than the threads on the pan, and you force it in with the intention of never removing it again, and only unscrew the smaller one from then on. You could screw in the bigger one and seal it with some epoxy.
