I have an 89 Formula 305TPI 5speed, for the longest time my car wouldn't start and read no power in the battery, only pushstart.About a week ago I replaced the starter solenoid, and fixed a bad connection at the battery on the wire to the alternator. After that it started just perfect for three days, then I tried to start it and smoke came out of the hood scoop, I managed to notice the smoke is from the starter, now I've got voltage in the battery, but it won't crank, cranks for about a half a second, anyone have any ideas? Only thing I can think of is a bad connection, or need a new starter,please help as I'm sick of pushing my car to start it!!!
