the heater core a couple months ago, so we re-routed the hose back into the engine. well, today the hose cracked right where it goes to the engine. well now it wont crank anymore. when i turn the key on lights come on and stuff and when i turn it to start the car, everything just dims, and theres no engine cranking at all. whats going on?

never discount the battery! Does the key/door alarm chime sound kinda funny? (not necessary, but mine ded lol!, sounded like a sick cow!) Your battery may evn have 12V on it, but that says nothing for the current it can provide. Yank it and take it to the closest autoparts store, they can probably "Load Test" the battery, which will make sure it's providing the necessary current to turn the motor. Just to be more amusing, when mine went, I was working an air bubble out of the coolant system, and some coolant splashed on the MAF out the radiator...I thought I blew up the maf and shortet a bunch of the electrical systems Now I could be completly wrong, but never discount the simple things. Mine cranked not 1 minute before I hit it again and it wouldn't crank!
