Felpro intake gaskets

Im putting my 350 TPI Back together.The intake gaskets have steel block offs where the exaust crossover are.What will happen if I use these gaskets?

On one side, I cant remember offhand which side, the EGR gets its exhaust from. If you block off that side, the EGR wont be doing its job anymore.
Other than that, it doesnt matter.

Will I need a new prom if my egr is blocked off?

Possibly... some cars deal with it ok, some dont. It would probably be easier to put a hole in the metal plate on the gasket. Its easy to figure out what side, just take a look at which side of the manifold has a passage that leads all the way into the manifold.

Hmm. My felpro kit came with the steel block-offs separate, so I just did not install them. Maybe you got the wrong kit? I think I used a kit for a 2bbl intake, not the full TPI kit with the whole smathering of gaskets. I always reuse my plenum and runner gaskets.
