If you are going to shell out the money for Crane golds, save a bit and get Comp Pro magnums. They are lighter and stronger than aluminum counterparts. To boot, they are steel, so they have far better long term usage than alum.

I've used 2 of the 3.

Had Crane Golds for 5 years. Never had any problems with them.
The Scorpians were loud as **** and I'd never buy them again.

Valvetrain is not an area I'd go cheap on.

Never heard of Heartland. I have, however, heard of Harland Sharp. Good rocker for the money. For the street, if it were me, I would still go Pro Mag's.

Id say it depends on budget and application. If your running a big a$$ cam then youll want the golds or the pro magnums. If its a cam thats under .500 lift go with the proforms or cranes energizer rockers.

I think the crane energizer series recommends not going over .550 lift, and they're basically the same as the proforms

I think IM gonna go with the pro mags the price is pretty good $200, compared to the crane golds which are about $300.The Pro mag should be fine with the LT4 hot cam,i would think.

Yes the comp pro- magnums will work great w/ the LT4 Hotcam, thats what I run. Another benefit of them is the steel is much stiffer and less prone to flexing at high RPM's. At least that what COMP told me!

pro mags
you should get the comp cams pro magnum roller rockers. they are much stronger than aluminum roller rockers and are lighter too. they are a bit pricey but i would surely spend big bucks on something that plays a big role in the valvetrain, and you can pick up some easy horsepower from a easy bolt on job.

I ran the narrow body Crane Gold roller rockers in my other van for about 4 months. I had a very small Ram Jet roller cam and changed my oil every 2500 miles because I'm nuts.

The trunion (?...fulcrum roller) bearings on all the rockers started to ooze out metal shavings. Not cool at all. I figured with my small cam and my driving habits (light foot) I'd be ok. NO.

Lucky for me Autozone took them back and I ordered a set of Comp Pro Magnums. I ended up selling these to a friend and he's had them for close to 2 years with no problems.

comp mags or promags. you could get away with the mags but the promags are much better rocker arms. just save that $70 more...
