You'll probably need a rebuild.
If you can do it yourself, it'll be cheap, if you can't, then having a new engine installed might be the best route.

Engine: 4.3 TURBO
Transmission: 700R4
thats easy to say but all the guys I talk to that own these trucks say that this is a common problem due to an ignition problem or in the timing so before I rip out the engine id like to be 100% sure that it is the motor
