Trouble code 33 and a rough idle

I just recently got a code 33 on my 87 iroc 305 tpi. How do I go about diagnosing the problem and fixing it. Also my car idles very rough when i first start it and smooths out a little once it warms up, but it still fluctuates. Sometimes it has to crank for a little when trying to start it(hot or cold). I have cleaned the iac, set the timing, new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, new coolant temmp sensor, and new oxygen sensor. None of these things helped. Hope someone can help, Thanks.

This would indicate a bad MAF. You can get a rebuilt one for about $139.00 exchange.

BEFORE you do this I would replace the MAF Power Relay and MAF Burnoff Relay. This would cost about 20 bucks for both relays.

It might on a longshot solve your code 33. If it doesn't and you have to get a new MAF it isn't wasted money on the relays because it's a good idea to change them with a new MAF.

PS.... check the MAF connections first to see if they just came unplugged or have been damaged.
