firing order messed up?
I was doign somework on my camaro and i had the spark plug wires off, well being stupid i didnt mark them, so i put them back on and it was missing , shaking pretty bad. So instead of trying to figure out which ones were out of place. I took the distributer cap off and had a friend bump it over till you felt compression in 1 and put the cap back on and routed the plugs as the firing order goes.
1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. well when i tried starting it up the engine would turn over then all of a sudden came to a stop like it was suppose to go off but instead came to a sudden stop it will still turn over fine but when you give it a lil gas to get her started up dead stop and keep cranking over.
THanks for help in advance

Reset the timing, start all over.
Bump the engine to #1 compression, then bring it to TDC. See where the rotor is pointing and make that the #1 plug. Follow the firing order around the cap. See where that gets you.
