Odd starter problem
I have a question about this weird starter bolt holes. It's and older 350 but it only has hole for the starter in the postion for the bigger flywheel. now i have heard that this is only like this on 327. i would like to know if this is true or just a myth. and if it could be like 283 307 or 327 thing. can someone please shine light on this subject.

First, get the casting # off the block.
Second, 283's and a good portion of 327's had small journal cranks. Check www.mortec.com for details.
Finally, only being drilled for one pattern isn't too uncommon.
