is it possible to have a remote starter on a tbi engn (automatic)

I have no idea.... but you should be able too. I have one on my TPI car.

The TBI is a fuel injected car, just not Port Fuel Injected. So you should have no problem getting the remote start function into your automatic. They just wire it up with the ignition coil, and other starting components, and the neutral start switch, and you're set.
You could even have it on a manual transmissioned car if it were wired into the clutch start switch, but you MUST leave it out of gear to remote start it, or else it would lurch forward when you did it, that's why it's generally not legal to have remote start put on a manual transmissioned car.
