I am getting a set of 3:42 Richmond gears installed. How many quarts of gear oil do I need, also it says to use Richmond gear oil, anyone ever used Mobil 1 or Redline?

Of course they told you to use Richmond gear oil... what else would Richmond say?

My friends and I all use Mobile 1 or Redline synthetics and none of us had a problem. Just keep squirting it in untill it starts dribbling out the hole (about 1.5 quarts)

i use mobil 1 and gm posi additive, wouldn't use anything else.
