Optispark only in 4th Gens ?

I was searching on 'optispark' to find out how much they cost, and got a bunch of articles about LT1's. I have an 88 GTA 3rdGen with the L98 motor. Do i have optispark, and how much are they ?

Optispark is very expensive. No you don't have it and I would think its a good thing.

OPTISPARK is one of the big problems with a fourth gen.... you sure as hell dont want that

That is not entirely correct. Only the LTx engines have OptiSpark, the LSx (new GM designs, not BBCs) engines have one coil per cylinder. So no, not all fourth gens have Opti.
