i cant go over 65 HELP PLEASE???

i have an 82 z28 with a 350 and holly elctric fuel pump, after it shifts into 3rd gear at about 2500 rpm i cant go any faster the engine starts to die and if i try to go faster my car shakes kinda violently it kinda looks like im tryin to drive a stick and im stallin it im thinking that maybe my fuel pump is crappin out and im not gettin enough fuel any suggestions would be graet thanks

Test the fuel pump output volume if you suspect it may not be keeping up. Route the pump output line (right at the carb if it's easier) into a fuel safe container. Power up the pump for 15 seconds. The pump should deliver at least a pint of fuel. If not, the pump may be at fault, or the filter may be clogging, or the fuel pickup/filter may have a problem.

If you get at least a pint in 15 seconds, start looking elsewhere.

thank you for all your help im starting to work on it today ill try that to see if im getting enough fuel when i tried to drive it today it was alot worse i couldnt go over 50 maybe if i got up that fast
