Slipping Tranny?

It seems in 1st gear when i get on the throttle it revs and has little power at high rpm's. I don't know if its just my 305 but seems like it just revs but once it shfts into 2nd it pickups again.

Is this the tranny or maybe a fuel deliver problem.( Yes my fuel pump has volume and pressure). Has and of your 305 tbi done this? Please Help!!

Need more data.

Specifically, what is the engine RPM at the shift point?

Engine: 305

At around 3000 rpm and above it seems it just revs. Usually shifts around 5300
