Intake swap Q's

ok, I dont know alot about this particular engine .. nor the
car.

The intake has a crack very visible located near the thermostat
housing, and causing it to spit, bubble and overheat at times.

its LG4 305 w/ emissions compatible Q-jet.

my buddy is about to buy a Edelbrock Performer
intake here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=36474

Will it have any problems?
were gettin a good deal over here in AZ for the same one.

Thanks guys!

Shouldn't be too tough.... that one is about as close to a drop-in as any is. About all you'll have to do is come up with the right hose nipples and vacuum fittings and such. One trip to the hardware store with a carefully constructed list ought to fix you up.

I think it will fit but, I am not positive, my buddie did this on his 86 ta but, used an aftermarket aircleaner so I can't say for sure. the factory one tends to be a little wider than what he had
