Intake Question "Gaskets"?

Hey whats up? Anytime the drivers side part of the intake gets wet my car runs like crap. Could this mean I have a gasket leaking? I've tried using carb cleaner to check for a vaccume leak but nothing happens only when I get it wet "like pouring water over where the intake and head meet. And if it is the gasket is there a way to drain the block of all the coolant? I JUST CHANGED MY OIL AND CASTROL SYNTEC IS NOT CHEEP.

Thanks Guys for all the info.

It does sound like a leak, but I would check vacuum and electric lines in that area just to be sure. And maybe try a different carb cleaner, that one might not work for checking... some are kinda weak.

You can get all the water out by taking the plug out of the bottom of the block on the driver side, and the other side is a plug or a knock sensor. I usually just drain the coolant where I think its far enough down, use a towel to dry out the water passage up front after I remove the thermostat, and then I have an assistant throw a bunch of paper towels in the valley after I yank the manifold up. Its about as close as you can get.
