Yeah, save the money on the edelbrock stuff and get some gears and a posi carrier for your rear (or a whole rear) at the bone yard. I would go with the comp xe262.

pick up a "b-stall" converter. it is the stock converter for 88-92ish vettes. it has a 1800-2000 rpm stall and it will help more than you think.

stay away from edelbrock, get the holley street dominator intake and a 600cfm 4150 series vacuum secondary carb. the xe262 would be an excellent cam

www.cardomain.com/id/mw66nova for specs on my setup.

Got it, no edlebrock. Thanks for letting me know before I dropped the cash. Will everything listed bolt right on or will I have to do any mods? I read that the flowmaster cat back kit for later camaro will fit mine with little mods is this true or is there an easier way to go about it? thanks again for the help.

i'm assuming your talking about the 86-92 flowmaster catback, yes, it will work nicely.

everything should bolt right on without issues, the only thing that might be an issue is changing your stall converter. that is definitely a two person job. you have to drop the tranny in order to do it. if you are interested in doing a converter swap, i will have one of those b-stall converters available in a bout a month. should have no more than 5k on it and i will take $100 shipped.

you may also be interested in changing you gears, i would suggest a 3.73 gear with that setup. that and the converter will really wake up even your stock motor. but with the headers/cam/intake/carb/gears/stall, your looking at an easily built high 13 second car with great street manners.
