Lately my car doesn't seem to be pulling as hard, there have been a couple of times where I stepped on it and it threw me back in the seat, I am pretty sure this isn't just in my head, what could cause this, I was thinking maybe something to do with the carburetor. I also don't have a catalytic converter to get clogged or anything, could a clogged muffler do the same.

There are so many variables that could make a car pull not as hard sometimes.. I can't even really begin to guess. Although, if performance continues to decrease, when was the last time you had your fuel filter changed?

I got a new fuel filter when I got my new carburetor which was about 3-4 months ago, and I put in some STP fuel system cleaner about 2 weeks ago.
