Welcome Aboard!

Any error codes stored in the ECM? One good (or bad) backfire and you can toast the hot wire sensing element in the MAF. The screens help deflect some of that, if they are still installed, but don't always stop damage from a truly bad backfire.

Try to retrieve any error codes and report back. We'll be here.

Hopefully you still have the screens in the MAF. Pull codes, also try starting the car with the MAF unplugged. Check the usual things such as connections, grounds, cap, rotor, wires etc.

Definitely check the accel cap and rotor. I had a similar problem using it on my 92 RS years ago. I am assuming also that you re timed the car once all the new goodies were installed.

Code 12 = normal; there's no distributor pulses when the engine isn't turning.

Take off the cap and look at the rotor.
