RHS and CompCams used to be part of the same company way back in the dark ages(70's and early 80's). Used to be you didn't talk about one without mentioning the other. Been a 'coons age since I've heard mention of RHS. Don't know if RHS and CompCams are still affiliated.

Is RHS still in business? They used to build quality engines...I almost bought one from them years ago.

RHS is in Memphis.
Comp Cams was owned principally by one brother (Ivars) and RHS by a group of people including another brother (Russ). Both companies have since been sold. RHS used to have an engine / machine shop division, a wholesale division that distributed to speed shops, and a retail store division that operated a couple of stores around Memphis.
Last I knew when I lived in Memphis, Racing Head Service was nothing but a retail store. It was located in a building across the parking lot from Comp. Its new owners may have revived the machine shop for all I know.
They used to build alot of good engines; police departments and similar industrial users were a major chunk of their business, and those people semand quality, so they must have been doing something right. They may have started it back up, I don't know.

Unfortuanately, RHS is no longer in the engine/head business.
They were going out of business when a group of employees tried to revive it. Along with some investors, I believe the tried to make things work by doing "job-shop" machine work. If you call them now, they are just doing tooling.
It's too bad, because I have one of their RHS Magnum 400 sbc that's still going strong after 11 years and ~250k miles. I talked to them last spring hoping to get help on my 383.
