Anyone running under drive pulleys on an L69? Good mod? If so what type and where is a good place to get them?

 

Also: do you have to get smaller belts? And I don't care if they are chrome. I just want the performance boost. Jegs has a 2 piece March steel set for $79.00. Is the water pump pulley smaller in the 3 piece set or is it just for looks?

I thinking about the same for my 91' 5.7L I had them on my 96's-10 4.3.I felt a difference around 3000+ rpm. I've heard they add hp at higher rpm. I guess that's where you need them?

 

I put the 3pc set on my 92RS 305. I could tell a difference but it wasent real big. I called march and they told me for my car it would be 10 hp. I dont think it was 10, prob 5. Ya I didnt really look at the water pump pully to long but i did hold them togeather and they did look the same size. I kinda wish i would of just ordered the 2pc. It might give you more hp cause i got a bigger engine but if i was u i would save up for some headers or something like that.
