another lowering question

I was reading the catalog jcwhitney. they sell these spring compressors that lower the vehicle. how good does this work(I am a bit cheap ) Is there any other cheap lowering Ideas

If you want it to look good and have a semi normal ride, just spend the couple hundred and replace the springs. Other wise heating and compressing or just compressing or even cutting is gonna make your ride miserable.

You ain't gonna be havin a nice day when them there things bust off the spring. I've seen it happen. And if you're talking about what I think you are.........they won't be easy to fit on the springs on our cars.
