88 Firebird Formula WS6

Hey all, Recently i bought an 88 Firbird Formula WS6 with a 305 V8. It had been modified when i got it ,Hooker hedders, raised injectors,Comp.Cam,and Flowmaster duals. I noticed that the shift points had been changed (First to second went to 35 before it changed) i was wondering if it would be a good thing to keep this set up and if anyone could give me some advice on turning this car into an awsome ride> Thanks

A few more details about the modifications would be good to know. Particularly the cam specs.

As for the transmission, the shift points do seem a bit high. Shift points are controlled only by transmission oil pressure and flow. That, however, is controlled by the pump and relief in the trans, the valve body, the governor/regulator, the accumulator springs, and the throttle valve cable. The easiest way to alter the shift points is by adjusting the TV cable. That might be the first thing to adjust and "undo". If you use teh site's search tool, you'll be able to find several threads with details on this easy adjustment.

It's also possible that the valve body and or separator plate was changed or altered, or that the servoes were altered, but you should still be able to get some adjustment from the TV cable.

Axle/Gears: 14 bolt with 3.07 gears
Shift point is about right if that was WOT and has highway gears.
