How do you clean K & N air filters? the ones in my car were there when I got it and I would like to clean them.

 

There's a "kit" available at virtually any Auto Parts Store and possibly even Walmart.

Basically it contains a "solution" that you spray on it, let it soak a bit and then rinse it out with water.

Then there is an "oil" that you spray on it (evenly). I like to let it sit a bit, and then install it back in your air cleaner assembly.

The instructions are on the "kit". But that's the Reader's Digest version.

 

thank you very much. Yesterday was the first day I opened the air box up. What is up with the round cylinders in the air box? Are those the sound silencers? Just curious.
