9" + Torque Arm = :(
9" + Torque Arm = :(
I have an 83 Z28 with a 9" centre. Now since the center is larger than stock, the torque arm is mounted further outward. It is very close to the floor pan, and would probably rub when cornering or going over bumps on an angle. Are there any aftermarket torque arms that would give me more clearance, or maybe remove the torque arm altogether, and put in ladder bars??

Axle/Gears: Ford 9"/31 spline spool/4.86
What 9" are you using? A moser housing should have the mount very close to the stock location.
All the torque arm will do is go up and down with the diff. If it moves sideways then you have some serious rear suspension problems.

I don't think he is talking about lateral movement I think he means since it's closer to the wall of the "hump" (I guess you would call it) since it's closer there isn't enough room for it's vertical movement.
