Burning Oil... Where ?

Smokes On Startup as You would expect Of a 160k Mile Smallblock.

Also Smokes When It has been Idleing for a second, and then I drive it off or give it some gas. The Longer it Idles, the More it smokes when I finally "clear it out".

Dosent smoke at RPM, or on Decell Or anything like that. Just in those Two Circumstance. Every once in a While When I nail it at cruise.

The Oil is staying Fairly clean, and I don't have noticeable blowby out the VC's, So I find it hard to Justify bad rings as the Issue. A leaky Intake manifold Would supposedly smoke at RPM as well as after idle.

Leaky Valve seals/worn Valve guides seem to be the Culprit, Am I correct In assuming this ?

I changed the Valvesprings Back when I changed the Cam, But My Local Parts store did Not Stock the Valve guide Seals, So I was Not able to change those (Time constraints on getting the Motor back Together). I have a feeling My messing around with them Caused the already poor Stock Seals to become essentially ineffective.

Does it sound like This could Be Cause For my greif ?

Thanks.
