aggrivated with engine buildup, few questions, suggestions...

OK, let's see, the Vortec TPI base isn't out YET, so I cannot use those heads on my 350...the supercharger I wanted to buy is flatspotted...got burned on a deal for a SuperRam...and my rods are machined for press-pins, I have floating pistons. Now I want to get some new heads but cannot decide how I want to do this. Originally I wanted to use a set of 21cc d-cupped forged pistons on factory GM rods (polished and stress-relieved, ARP wavelocs) and a GM nodular crank with a mild 114LSA cam and ported Vortec heads with a supercharger. I figured around 8.5:1 compression. Now money is an issue. Figures.

I guess I'm just better off building a N/A motor. I figured I can get away with a 58mm TB, SLP ported runners, aftermarket base, 24# injectors, 10.5:1 CR, 150 HP shot in the future, SLP 1 3/4" headers, and the rest of the drivetrain is a T-56, and a 3.73 torsen diff (4thgen rear).

Can the floating pins be used (assembled) as press-fit pins? What CR would be optimal for an aluminum headed engine(experience)for either nitrous, blower or N/A? Would you use the 21cc d-cups and use a 58cc head and thin gasket ('Vette head), or use a flat-top forged press-pin piston and a 64 cc head? Who sells some AFR 190's or TFS heads cheaper than anybody (not Jeg's)? If I splurge for new pistons I'll probably invest $200 for another crank and stroke to an internally balanced 377 or maybe 383. I want to use my 5.7" rods regardless. Low-end torque is a concern, but I also want to pull to 5500 RPM. Ultimate goal is either 450HP N/A, or 550+ with a power adder.

I know I'm being difficult, but I'm confused where I want to go with this. I've been screwed on this one. So I gotta decide on a 5.7 rod 377/383 with a semi-aggressive cam and juice, aluminum-headed 350 built for a future blower, or an aggressive N/A 350, maybe for juice. All using as many parts as I can that I already have. Fun-fun. Any suggestions would be great guys, I need some guidance on this one. Thanks!
