Idler arm installation
It needs to swing in the same plane as the pitman arm. Look to see if you can determine where the bolts were previously. If it was the original idler arm the bolts may have left marks so you can reposition it in the right place. The correct way however is by using the the control arm bolts. Do a search for "idler arm" on the Brakes/Suspension/Chassis forum and you'll find a description of how to do this.
Nevermind, I have nothing to do right now so I'll just give you the low down. Vasically what you want to do is have the center link paralle with the ground and at a 90* angle to both the idler arm and the Pitman arm. Adjust the idler arm until you get the angles right. That is the simplest way I can put it. Good luck.
