car died on way home

ok so this is what happened my car started and was running fine i was sitting at a light for a second or two and when i was turning my car started to shake and not respond to any gas pedal movement. what i found out is the car is getting no spark or power to the ignition coil and i dont know where to start to look for the problem. the person before me rigged up this crane cam ignition modual and i believe thats where the problem is but dont know what to check or try. i could use all the help i can get thanks.

Ignition module, or something like the Crane HI-6 ignition system?

Would really need to know exactly what's been done in order to figure out what may be wrong.

its like a crane cam hi 6 but an older version its wierd becuase it my car just started to feel like it was sort of like hopping forward in spurts and then it died and when i try to start it again nothing is even firing like it wants to start. im towing it home tonight so i can get it here and be able to look at it.

ok so i got the car to my house today this is whats happening i put the regular coil in there and took out the crane hi 6 and spark is getting to the coil and to the cap but still not to the spark plugs so i plan on changing the rotor and the ignition module and see if i finally get spark to the plugs. anything else to try ????? or look at

by the description it almost sounds like you arent getting fuel... how much fuel do you have in the tank?

EDIT: Didnt read all the way through.

Once you put the stock dizzy back in, by-pass any aftermarket parts, and see if you get spark to the plugs.

Check for corrossion on the dizzy cap terminals.

Also check the rotor like you said you would.
