car died on way home

ok so this is what happened my car started and was running fine i was sitting at a light for a second or two and when i was turning my car started to shake and not respond to any gas pedal movement. what i found out is the car is getting no spark or power to the ignition coil and i dont know where to start to look for the problem. the person before me rigged up this crane cam ignition modual and i believe thats where the problem is but dont know what to check or try. i could use all the help i can get thanks.

Ignition module, or something like the Crane HI-6 ignition system?

Would really need to know exactly what's been done in order to figure out what may be wrong.

by the description it almost sounds like you arent getting fuel... how much fuel do you have in the tank?

EDIT: Didnt read all the way through.

Once you put the stock dizzy back in, by-pass any aftermarket parts, and see if you get spark to the plugs.

Check for corrossion on the dizzy cap terminals.

Also check the rotor like you said you would.
