Stud Girdle Position

We are putting the stud girdles back on the race motor, but dont remember wich way. Does the thick bar go on the inside (intake) or the outside (exhaust) of the stud?

Thick side goes toward the exhaust on most of them, but I don't think it matters very much... check for the fit to the valve covers.
