TA coming out of storage, old gas question
Well ive had my car basically stored for the last year or so,its been off the road and not started in a while, and i used to start it every so often and put more gas in it,but i havent done that in a long time.So now the cars been sitting with the same gas in it maybe for a good year or so.I was wondering if the gas should still be fine or if maybe i should put some dry gas or something in the tank cause the gas might be stail. And if i dont and i just add some fresh gas do you guys think ill be allright?

you might want to put some anti-water additive in as well in case you have some condensation in your tank

yup.. i think HEET seems to be one of the more popular additives but any water remover additive will work..
your car will enjoy the supreme, i can't see why the gas would be bad (my '87 sat for 7 months without running and it fired right upw) but it wouldn't hurt to toss in some 92 to coax it to life

well, that stuff's kinda expensive, lol..
i dunno, i would just try to dilute as much of the old gas as i could with new stuff..
as an example: my '87 IROC had about 1/4 of fuel when I parked it to do the motor.. 7 months later I added 3 gallons of 92 octane and it fired right up..
then again I live in Los Angeles and my car was garaged so I didn't see a need for any water remover.. if i lived out east (like you) i woulda tossed in a bottle of water remover and a few gallons of good gas..
i also let my fuel pump prime a few timees (by turning on the key and letting the pump stir the gas around) so that the new gas was mixed with the old stuff..
